Not sure what to say?

Harry was the only friend I met through placing an ad in the paper, to contribute to what I hoped would be a publication as good as Nyctalops. It wasn't. But Harry and I had a lot of fun working on it together.

Harry was an artist, with the eye and the inspiration and the skills of an artist. Yet to his credit he did not have the emotional temperament of an artist. Instead, he had the common sense of a bricklayer, or carpenter, or the computer programmer he was. He had a...

I feel as though this has happened in the middle of a conversation -- in the middle of a sentence, even. Harry's curiosity was omnivorous and his BS detector was impeccable. I owe him so much. My enthusiasms and my worldview have been changed forever from knowing Harry.
He was one of a kind -- in the very best sense.

Harry, you huggable lug. We never did get to open our coffee shop, The Lustful Turk. I miss you so so much and this is the third straight day I cried. Make me stop already, willya? I'll take Diana to see THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL and we'll tell you about it in December.

Harry was one of my very favorite artists in the world -- the artwork he did for the cover of my book PUNKTOWN was sheer brilliance (and in the back of the book, fascinatingly, he described the entire process of creating it). The work he left will be treasured - it was the very stuff of dreams.

Harry was such a great guy--it's so hard to think of this world without him in it.

Diana, I'm beaming waves of strength and comfort to you and to Harry's dad and sisters. My heart is aching at your loss.

Harry, we'll lift a glass of Chianti to you this Thanksgiving--thankful for your friendship and disconsolate because there will be an empty place at the table.

Harry,

Waht a wonderful presence you were! My kids used to find spiney horse-chestnuts on the ground and say, "Do you think Mr. Fassl would want to photograph these and make them into monsters?" You and Diana introduced us to Oak Park and the Dojo.

We are so grateful!

To the Fassl Family,
My thoughts are with the entire family during this most difficult time in life.
Sheila, just know Kathy, Lisa and I have you on our minds and most importantly in our prayers
