Not sure what to say?

Harry was a great joke and story teller, one of the few that could make my mother laugh. We couldnt ask for better extra sets of parents, as many people today are lucky to have one set. Harry and Emily raised great children, all with a splendid work ethic, and personalities to match. The rosary on the camper awning was always a good addition, as the Lord mustve thought he was praying for rain. And, God seemed to answer all of Harrys prayers. Dear Grothjan Family, I am very sorry to learn of Harry's passing. Son Jim and I are good friends and may I say the children were raised right. Thank you for your service in The Great War, Mr. Grothjan. I am thankful that you were able to come home and bring joy to all who surrounded you for many years. God will make sure that the Pearly Gates are open for those who give so much of themselves to others here on Earth. My deepest sympathies to all of you at this time.

Happy Times with Friends - Emily's 80th

Grothjan Family - So sorry to know that Mr. Grothjan (Harry) passed. It was always evident that the most important thing in life to him was his family, being a loving husband, dad, grandfather, friend and good person. He loves each of you dearly and was so, so proud of all of you. I've been honored to be part of the extended family for nearly 50 years and feel for you all. I last saw your mom and dad just before his 90th. I knew he'd make it as he was tougher than most and that wit. It's...

To the Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Jan, I am so sorry about your Dad. My condolences to your Mom and the rest of your family too. I will remember him and you in my prayers.
