Dear Bette, my sincere condolencies to you and your family. Although it has been some time that I resided in Savannah I will never forget the warmth and frienship that Harry & yoursef showed to a newly transplanted "Limey" that moved to the port & city of Savannah. Harry has always been a lighthouse that I could look at and up to in life, he was a true example of a gentleman. The world and Savannah lost a great man.

Skip: I was saddened to read about your fathers death...as the son of a sea captain I know that your father loved the sea but he loved his family more and remained on land to be with you and your mom.. I know that you have many memories that will live on... take care my friend.... Tom Taggart

I would like to express my deepest condolences to all of you at this time of great loss. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. Although not unexpected it is still with great sadness that Harry’s passing hits us all. He was such a nice and kind fellow to me over the years and a real hero to everyone whose life he was a part of. His obituary was a beautiful piece on his life and all the things he did for everyone.
