Not sure what to say?

I was a Bn. C.O. in the 101st Abn Div with Gen. Kinnard. We were friends, and young men together. I admired and had the greatest respect for him. Col. X B Cox, Jr.

A great American. I served with C 1/7 Cav '68-'69. As Cav Assoc. Pres., I was honored to have Gen. Kinnard as our speaker at Ft. Benning reunion in '90 to honor Div's 25 Anniversary of deployment to Vietnam.

I served in the 1st Cav with A Co 1/7 Dec1965-1966. Then A Battery 2/20th A.R.A Jan -Jun1967 Then C Troop 1/9th August 1970-May 1971
I never knew his war record back then. But have a deep appreciation of it today. God Bless and Garry Owen to you!!

I remember him as my friends' dad in Ft Benning so many years ago. My prayers are with you.

Harry was a fine gentleman and a delightful neighbor. We will miss him very much. My condolences to his family.

I was with the 1st Cav Division from December, 1965 until November 1966 with HHC 3rd Bde. and B 1 / 7 Cav. What a great Commander. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Garry Owen.

I served with him in Vietnam - Bravo Co., 1st Btn, 7th Cav. 1966. A great soldier.

He will be missed by all who knew and served under him. I was one of his soldiers in 1965. In 1966 in Washington, DC he encouraged me to apply for flight school. And in a recent email from him in response to a birthday greeting in May, he told me, "Bill, you made my day!" And, simply signed off as HWOK. Harry WO Kinnard was and is one special man who gave a lifetime of service to his country. Garry Owen Sir!
