Class act all the way I tended bar at the manor in the 80´s and loved when he sat at the bar before dinner! He was exciting just to be around !

My sincere condolences to Wade, Kurt and all the Knowles family on the loss of their father and grandfather who left behind an enduring legacy as Host/Restauranteur in New Jersey. Gertrude Kiernan was part of the "decorative" years of the Manor and my husband, Max, and I hosted Doris and Harry Knowles at the Culinary Olympics in Frankfurt Germany. May he rest in peace. He was a wonderful man, an even better Boss, and like a father to me. He gave me so much wisdom in business and personal ways and treated me like a family member, and so did his beautiful wife. I´ve been honored and humbled to have worked with them and the family for 28 years. I will remember his quick wit, and her sassiness all the days of my life. My deepest condolences go out to the entire family.

My most sincerest condolences on the loss of your Dad. I never met him personally but my fondest memories were spent at The Manor, Rams Head Inn and Pleasantdale Chateau. The best wedding I ever went to. I always went there on special occasions. Such class establishments. I will remember your Mom and Dad in my prayers. Sincerely, Kathy
