Not sure what to say?

A phenomenal instructor. Work ethics were required, but so was a sense of humor. Sometimes I hear young people claim that it is by participating in sports that teens have the best chance to become disciplined at a task. I beg to differ. Under Harry's leadership, we all became disciplined vocalists and learned to collaborate as a true team on stage. Thank you, Harry, for helping so many of us to grow up with an appreciation for music and the performance arts.

Harry Mason was devoted to his students at Lincoln High School and shared his incredible expertise and energy to help us grow as musicians, learn stage professionalism, and give productions that impacted the entire community. I remember students literally running down the hall to get to choir because no one ever wanted to be late. And he molded us "rag tag kids" into a choir that won top honors at the state music competitions and produced records. He was way ahead of his time using a...

Harry Mason was a dedicated teacher of music and has left the world richer than he found it.

Mr Mason, You and A Capella Choir brought me out of my shell! I still sing some of those old songs from high school choir.. I will remember you for your clown collection and for the new found confidence you gave me my senior year of High School THANK YOU! God Bless you and keep you! Karen (Steinbach) Happnie

I think that Harry Mason inspired all whom he taught. I won't forget him or how much choir and glee club shaped my life. " In giving we receive. " He was a remarkable teacher. God Bless you and your family.

It was such a pleasure to have Harry come into Northwood to be a substitute music teacher. Everyone adored him. I am sorry for his passing.

How fortunate I am to have been molded by such a man and I echo Gary and John's thoughts. High School would not have been magical without Glee Club and Choir and those lovely Spring Sings and candlelight "Oh Come all ye Faithfuls". We were so fortunate and blessed to be tutored by such a talented, demanding, lovely, inspiring, tailored, well-kempt gentleman.

I am a musician by trade -- a choral conductor and university professor of music. I enjoy every day a love for music that I first experienced with Harry Mason during my piano lessons at his house on Janet Ave in North Canton. I'll always remember his magic staff toy, his cat Sebastian, and the dum-dum lollipops he kept on his table for all of his students. What a joyous educator he was!

"Mr. Mason, you were an inspiration to me. I learned much from you. You have been in my thoughts lately. Especially today. While I was running sound for Brigadoon at Jackson High School tonight I saw your production at LHS. "In Giving We Receive" will forever be a part of me because of your example. Until we meet again, your memory is in my heart..."
