Mr. Oakey was my masonary teacher from 1982-1984. I often still think about him and pass the stories down to my kids. Both my brother Oscar and I have many stories to share from our days with Mr. Oakey.
He will be dearly missed. Your husband/father was a great teacher and is still touching lives.

My Father's life touched many people. The Candle he lit in each one of us is his greatest legacy. He was my Masonry Instructor at Harlingen High School in 1981 and 1982.I took his class because the carpentry class was full.I even remember asking my self "What is Masonry"L.O.L.Mr.Oakey taught me all about Masonry.He gave me the opportunity to become a union bricklayer,which I am to this day.He became a very special person early in my life, a teacher whom I respected ,a mentor and a friend.I feel blessed to have had the...
