Being in Hawaii in the middle of the Pacific and the middle of COVID19, I got the news about Allen's passing just now. So sorry I hadn't seen Allen in many years. We grew up in Denver a year apart, but went to GW together and then to Dartmouth together. We were on the same relay team at GW that won the state meet. When I quit backstroke, Allen kept butterflying all the way through 3 NCAA All American years at Dartmouth. Both in high school and college Allen was amazing ... he came...

What a great guy! I loved swimming with him competitively when we were kids and then later in life. I will never ever forget watching him move through the water with a butterfly stroke that so elegant and powerful.

Allen, was a classmate and fraternity brother at Dartmouth, a great swimmer and simply one of the nicest guys youd ever meet. So very sorry to hear of his passing.

Allen was a very special friend to us. He will be dearly missed, but we are so glad that he was a big part of our lives for so many years.
