Stringer, Harry Michael Mike passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Mike was born April 23, 1952. Beloved husband of Sandra Stringer (Soell); loving stepfather of Amy Burns and Michael Grossman; special Paw Paw of Camryn Burns; dear brother of Pam (John Toomey) Stringer; dear Brother-In-Law, uncle and good friend to many. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lucille Stringer. Mike was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed. His free spirit soared when he roamed the mountains out west. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved backpacking, camping, and rock hounding with his lifelong best friend Mike Bingaman. He was well respected in his profession of home construction and Mike was a true craftsman. He never said 'no' to a friend in need. Services: Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin from 10:00-1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stray Rescue or a charity of your choice.

Not sure what to say?

I was just thinking about Mike today and remembering how much fun we had when we worked together at The Jones Company, Centex Homes and Consort Homes. Mike made me laugh harder than anyone and we shared a sarcastic sense of humor. A loyal friend with a huge heart, Mike is sorely missed and he will never be forgotten.

I am so sad to hear of Mikes passing. I will never forget his thoughtful words to me when my brother died. Always enjoyed our visits on jobsites. His stories and adventures were one of a kind. God speed Michael !

Such a dedicated man how I enjoyed working with him when Bob jones and I built our home rest peaceful Mike Bob is there for you.

Only knew Mike over this past year, working with him on our new home. He was always prompt, courteous and detail oriented. He seemed like a really awesome guy and we were so sorry to learn of his passing. Just wanted you to know he made an impact on people's lives even in a very short amount of time.

I worked with Mike for many years when he was with the Jones Company. He was a respected superintendent and I always enjoyed working on projects with him. He took so much pride in his work. My favorite memory of Mike was when he was building Bob Jones' house. I think I saw Mike every day for a year! He will be missed by many. May he rest in peace.

Sorry I was unable to make it to the service. I was out of town. He was a tremendous superintendent. I loved his smirky grin. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Sincerely, Debbie Lowery

Sure will miss you Mike. We had a blast way back when. Rest In Peace Brother. My sincere sympathies and prayers go out to your family. You will be missed.

To a wonderful man with a heart of gold. All of my great childhood memories are of my Father Jim Block, Mike Stringer, Tom Mattli, and Mike Bingaman. I will pray each day for you and your family from this day forward. Allison Block ?
