Harry Todd passed away in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The obituary was featured in The Advocate on October 17, 2008.
I was deeply saddened when I learned of Harry's passing. He was a very intellectual person as well as a great musician. I starting working for Harry on 2/3/68 and was with him for his retirement farewell. Almost all the principles I learned from him during those years, I'm still using them which has made my life so much better. I feel very lucky to have met and worked with Mr. Harry Todd Sr.

Harry was a dear friend and we spent many evenings pickin' and grinnin' when I lived there. Harry was a fantastic musician and teacher as well as a perfectionist in his work He will be sorely missed. You don't meet many true gentlemen in this life; he was one.

My deepest sympathies go out to your family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Mr. Todd was my first boss in the real world and an old friend. I could not have had a better start for my working career, for Harry was very knowledgeable and a fair man with high ethical values.
