Not sure what to say?

I have fond memories of Mr. Valentine from my years growing up in VB. My condolences to Jim, Paige, and the family. He will be missed.

Carter was a wonderful father and and outstanding grandfather. He was a man of integrity and grace and an outstanding role model for his grand children Miles and Marley . They loved him so very much. They will miss him and so will we and all who knew him. With deepest sympathy, Greg and Pat Reinhart

When Carter and I graduated from VMI, we reported to Marine Corps Base, Quantico to begin our officer training; then on to over 20 years service. Our paths crossed number of times and I looked forward to seeing him at VMI reunions. He was an exceptional Marine and a wonderful friend and brother rat. He will be missed by many. Reg Ridgely

Over 60 years of memories of a fellow cadet, an officer, a gentleman, and, above all, a Brother Rat. He designed our Class emblem. He will be missed.

Carter will be missed. He was a suberb athelete at VMI and a great friend. He was a patriot serving his country in combat. May God Bles the family as they cherish his memory.

Margaret and Tom Tait
