WHITE, Harry Samuel, 81, of Goochland, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 16, 2010. He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Jane Brooks White; three children, H. Michael White and his wife, Dianne, Samuel C. White and his wife, Patty, and Susan White Duty and husband, Brad; five grandchildren, Jason M. White and wife, Sara, Jordan White, Carrie Beth White, Kimberly Duty and Coleman Duty. Harry served his country for eight years as a sergeant in the Army National Guard, was a master carpenter and loved to farm and was a lifetime member of Gum Spring United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 18, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Lacy Funeral Home, Rte. 522, Mineral. Funeral service will be held at Gum Spring United Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 19, at 2 p.m., with interment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gum Spring United Methodist Church Building Fund, 16 Church Ln., Gum Spring, Va. 23065. Online guestbook available at www.lacyfh.com.
