Harry Wolff

I am a volunteer for Jewish Family and Children's Services. I deliver holiday bags to seniors at home and Harry was one of my clients. He became my friend and we used to visit quite often, sharing stories. My husband occasionally would accompany me and the two of them had a lot to talk about.
When I phoned him to set up a time to deliver his Rosh Hashana bag yesterday, I discovered his phone was disconnected. Not until I phoned the facility did I hear the news of his passing.

My mother met Harry when she moved to Merrill Gardens. They struck up a friendship immediately and bonded over their shared New York Jewish roots. They had lively conversations, celebrated the Jewish holidays together, and playfully bantered about life, love, religion, and many other topics. Harry was a brilliant, kind, principled man and I feel lucky that my mom and family got to know him. My deepest condolences for your loss of this true mensch.
