I am finishing up my doctoral degree in Classroom Management and heard Harry Wong speak to the entire Polk County, Florida teaching and administrative staff at the beginning of the school year in 1973. Polk County is one of the 30 largest school districts in the country. He inspired everyone who heard him that day. I can still remember him vividly, have used his wisdom throughout my teaching career, and referenced him in my dissertation. He is one of the great sources of wisdom in the field...

I can't believe it is four years since you passed away. Still think about you and miss you. You were one of the hearts of our Paly High Class.

Harry Wong was my best friend's, Cheryl Bell's, step dad. He was a wonderful man and a terrible tease! Because of Harry and Phyllis's generosity, I skied, went to San Francisco's Chinese New Year celebration and got to work behind the scenes at one of his pizza parlors. When I was an awkward, ungainly teenager, he even danced with me at a party at his house. Thank you, Harry.

Harry was a unique and special guy. He will be deeply missed, that is for sure. He was always smiling and happy. He certainly loved cruises of which he had MANY. I don't think there was anything that he would not do for someone. He definitely was someone you could always rely on when we had something going on with our Palo Alto High School Class of 1950. He was part of the glue that held us together all of these years. I think it was for part of our 40th class reunion that he...

We're very sorry to hear the news about the loss of Harry. He was our neighbor for the last 9 years and recently moved into his new home. We would talk all the time over his life, his travels around the world and general health. He was a good man and I was fortunate to know him during the last years of his life. We will miss him!
