Harry B. Young

" Uncle" Harry B. Young, 87, of Owensboro, died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on March 14, 1922 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Polk and Gertie Young. He was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a WWII Army Veteran where he served under Eisenhower. Uncle Harry worked for JR Miller as a bookkeeper, and he also worked at Atmos Energy and the Campbell Club Survivors include a niece, Janey and Frank Hartz, a nephew, Polk L. Young, III and Norma all of Owensboro, great nieces and nephews, Frank Hartz IV, Jason Hawthorne Hartz, Edward Grant Young, Adam Cobb Young, and Kerry Elizabeth Young, and several great great nieces and nephews. Services are at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Monday and after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home.
