Harvey John Behrens, age 97, went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2008 in Colorado Springs. He was born on March 1, 1911 in Avoca, Nebraska, the son of John Henry and Emma Anna (Benecke) Behrens. So many years ago, I was a little girl (I think you guys were teen-agers) and lived around the corner from Harvey and Amy on Platte Street. Harvey and Amy always welcomed us into their home. I'll never forget Harvey's jolly smile and warmth.
