Not sure what to say?

When I was hired as the Athletic Director at Rockford High School in 2001 Harvey took me under his wing. He was a great role model and mentor during my years at Rockford. He was a good man and friend. Our condolences to the DeGood family. RIP Keith and Marcie Vree

Harvey is truly missed! Loved beyond words. Always a phone call away. Door always open. Hand on your shoulder. True hug. So honored to be given away at my wedding. Always answered prayers. A true inspiration of living life to the fullest as an example of a child of God. Harv has impacted people´s lives beyond measure. So blessed to have had him and Deanna being such a huge part of our lives. Truly LOVED

Very sad to see that Coach DeGood has passed away. I only attended Rockford my Senior year, 1970-71, but I got to know Coach very well. He was my position Coach in Football (Ends) and I was a PE Assistant for his first period PE class. He was an outstanding, leader, teacher, and coach for young men and women. He also was an outstanding person and role model. It wasn´t just a job for him, but his life´s calling. If there ever was someone who was born to teach and coach, it was Coach DeGood....

Mr. DeGood, you will never know how much you touched me. You were such an inspiration. Your support and kind words inspired me and helped me so much! I pray that God wraps his arms around your loved ones during this difficult time. #BestTeacherEver

Sincere condolences to Harv's family! Have fond memories of coaching against Harv back in the '70s & '80s. Win or lose, Harv was always gracious and a true gentleman. Rest in the peace you so well deserve coach!

Our condolences to the family on your loss of this great man. He touched the lives of hundreds of young people. RIP coach!

All the memories of Mr Degood are positive ones, even after being forced to run laps in football practice for goofing off. I can still hear his voice. Condolences to the whole Degood family and all that knew him.

I remember him inviting me to join fellowship of Christian athletes it just made me feel welcome , he was a great mentor to me Kathy Gillette-Johnston

"Use your head for something besides a hat rack" - Coach Degood´s quotes are legendary and I can hear his voice saying those words now. Thanks for the memories Coach. You had a positive impact on many young adults.
