Not sure what to say?

Harvey Dodd...an unforgettable friend!! Blessed to have some of his watercolors, and we miss him dearly. P-Town has never been the same without him in his studio on Commercial Street.

So glad to be reminded of the inspirational Harvey Dodd. I have happy memories of time spent with him at his Provincetown Gallery, and I have three watercolors, as well. Provincetown will never quite be as wonderful, for the Hardy Family, as it was with his presence. Just seeing his name pop up on my computer screen today is a gift, almost like a tap on the shoulder from the fine person himself. Yes, we do remember those souls who brighten our lives in any way. Harvey was that kind of...

Thank you for this sweet reminder...just to see his name brought back a ton of happy memories. He was a great purveyor of happiness. Really!! Always smiling, always charming, always thoughtful. Harvey was certainly one bright life, and it's wonderful to be reminded of him. I can imagine he's still producing happiness from afar. He just touched people. Wish he were still here, but the next best thing is to remember him!! Share his gentleness as you walk through life.

My husband and I have gone to Provincetown many times, before and after our children were born to journey with us. We must have met Harvey in 1961 or 62, and whenever we visited we dropped in. I have three of his paintings, and my daughter has one. Provincetown is not the same without him. How can it be that you love someone when you only see them every couple of years, at most? I credit him with learning to use a computer!!! He urged me on, saying anyone could learn!!!! I will always...

My husband and I visited Provincetown in 1964 when Mr. Dodd was creating portraits while sitting along an area on Commercial Street of tourists. He drew a portrait of me in pastel chalk which I still have to this day, proudly framed. We visited the Cape many times after over the years, some with our children but mostly in our retirement years. Of course, we visited his studio but did not see any portraits. My husband is gone now, but his drawing brings back memories to me of a time long gone....
