Not sure what to say?

Dr. Floyd was a special teacher whose love for studying the New Testament from the Greek text was infectious. His words on a Greek recording he made for his students echo in my mind, "Continue to persevere." May God's grace train each of us who were touched by his life to persevere in studying God's word, in following God's word, and in teaching God's word. In that way both God and Dr. Floyd will be honored.

You and Harvey L are in our prayers. I have so many fond memories of you all. I remember still like it was yesterday the day he babtized me!! Prayers of comfort to you knowing he is in a better place! Anna MILLER Meggs

He taught us God and Bible in International Bible Class in Harpeth Hills Church of Christ every Sunday. We loved his class and American life style after Bible Class. I appreciate to join the class 30 years ago, and I remember those days as same as yesterday. Thank you, Dr. Floyd.

He was a man who lived and taught grace through faith in Jesus is the gospel. Amen and see you soon my friend!

He taught me to love God and His Word. I treasure the memories of him and am thankful for the time I was able to spend with him. I look forward to seeing him again when this passing world is done. Our prayers are with the family.

How appropriate for the champion of grace to slip away peacefully in his sleep. Brother Floyd was my wife's and my favorite Bible teacher. He performed our marriage ceremony at Brentwood Hills on August 21, 1976. I will always treasure the memory of him.

Dr. Floyd was one of my favorite professors during my time at Lipscomb. He taught me such an appreciation for the grace of God and the Greek language of the New Testament writers. His legacy lives on in the lives of the thousands of students he touched with his Godly manner. May our Father in Heaven welcome him and may light perpetual shine upon him.

My wife and I cannot adequately express our deep appreciation and admiration for the impact Dr. Floyd had on our spiritual development. He opened the door of understanding of the gospel for us as no one else had ever done. We will literally forever be indebted to him for his service as a master teacher. Not only was his vast knowledge an inspiration to us as young people, but his zeal and magnetic personality endeared him to us. What a blessing to have known and loved him. We look forward to...

The NationsUniversity friends, faculty, and staff extend their heartfelt condolences to the Floyd family and all the support they have shown the University over the years.
