Not sure what to say?

Harvey was my closest friend in high school. We stayed close through college but distanced after. Harvey was one of a kind when he was young - funny, optimistic, no meanness - none. A rare bird. When we reconnected many years later - only a few yrs ago. He was even better and you were with him and it was great. He was so happy and satisfied and in love. A better man than a youth - confident, cariing, brilliantly funny. I could read his emails and laugh out loud. Incisive to the bone, cynical...

Camilla, my heart. prayers and thoughts are with you right now. Although I never got the chance to meet Harvey in person, the way you talked of him over these last few years, showed your deep love for him, and his for you. He sounded like a brilliant caring man who will be missed by all those who knew him and loved him. I hope that those who knew Harvey will be willing at some point to give you the gift of sharing their memories of him with you, and will allow you to do the same for them.

Camilla, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the Lipman Family. Harvey is missed greatly and will always be remembered by colleagues and friends at CDC. I was fortunate to have Harvey work on 2 publications with me from TB work in Mexico. I will always remember his guidance, contributions and concern for his work. His wonderful sense of humor, brilliant mind and caring spirit will always be remembered.

My condolences to Harvey's family. I got to meet him when he came to El Paso for a short visit. He was a fascinating man and his spirit and zest for life were amazing. He will be greatly missed.
