Dear Lyon Family, It is with deep regret that I learned of Prof. Lyon´s passing. I was privileged to be one of his students while completing my Masters Degree at Roosevelt University. His course "The Ulysses Cycle in Literature from Homer to Katzanzakis" analyzed universal themes spanning two thousand years of Western literature. The course focused on War and Peace, Don Quixote, Crime and Punishment, Madame Bovary and the Ulysses cycle. These and the other books he exposed us to are the...

Andreamany thanks for enabling me to contact your father after so many years. His brilliant teaching and remarkable insights have sustained me throughout my long life, and I find it difficult to imagine the world without him. I learned of his loss quite recently. My condolences to you and your family.
