When I was assigned to the mental health section at the Sheppard Air Force Base Hospital in July 1981 after completing my psychiatry residency in West Virginia, I was a bit fearful of what my military experience might hold, so I asked Harvey if he would be a "mentor" to me during my time of service. Very decent man. I worked with Col. Martin @ SAFB from 1982 - 1985. Learned a lot just watching him, about how to treat people and how to be a professional. Wicked, snappy sense of humor. I was blessed to have known him. Heavenly rest. My sincere, heartfelt condolences to the family. God bless.
