Harvey E. Sandstrom, 82, of Grand Rapids, died Friday, June 13, 2008 in Grand Itasca Hospital, Grand Rapids, Minn. Harvey was born in 1926 in Duluth. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He worked as an engineer for various companies. Harvey was an active member of the Masonic Order and the Shrine. He was a project man, enjoyed being productive and loved to pilot his planes. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother. Survived by wife, Dorothy; daughter, Sandra (Rich) Davies of Centennial, Colo.; sons, Joel (Susan) Sandstrom of Buhl, Minn., Rick (Liz) Sandstrom of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.; sister, Darlene (Curtiss) Lind of Saginaw, Minn.; brother, Lloyd (Mary Jane) Sandstrom of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; grandchildren, Aaron Sandstrom of Minneapolis and Dana Sandstrom Keating of Zambia. VISITATION:4:30 p.m. until the 5:30 p.m. Memorial service on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 in the Community Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids. Pastor Daniel Yeazel will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Community Presbyterian Church, Shriner's Children Hospital or to the donor's favorite charity. Arrangements are by the Rowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Grand Rapids, Minn.
