Harvey Smith

Frank was the epitome of the Southern Gentlemen engineer. When I told my previous employer who I was going to work for, he told me Frank Smith was the best engineer in Atlanta. But what I didn't expect was what a decent man he was. It was always a pleasure working as his draftsman. He had the mind of an engineer and the heart of an artist. Sad day when he left the company- it was never the same.

Franklin, I just learned today of your father's passing and was saddened to hear it. I have great memories of my 10 years being guided by your dad while at Allison -Smith. When I look back over what I have been able to accomplish, Frank was certainly a major influence on my career and success. I am proud to say he was my mentor.
