Not sure what to say?

A good man and a flawed man, as all great men are. I am proud to have had him an uncle.

I was Harvey's graduate assistant at West Virginia University in the Master of Public Administration Program in 1974-75. All of us in the program enjoyed his lectures and his comraderie. He really liked racket ball, too, and was a fierce competitor. He will be missed.

We will miss you at genealogy conferences, Harvey! Bev Petersen - Fun Stuff for Genealogists

For years now between Christmas & New Year's, my husband & I travel "up North" to St Augustine. A highlight of every trip is a visit to Wolfs Head Books & a chat with Harvey. He will truly be missed.
Our condolences to his loved ones.

I met Harvey at the NGS conference in Raleigh, May 2009 -- I was the vendor area person and so we passed quite a bit of time chatting ... about barbecue and other things. Each day I'd get an update of where he ate and what he thought of it. He brought a smile to my face each day of that conference and it was so appreciated.

I didn't realize that the book store was in St. Augustine ... I was in town on the 29th and remember driving around and out of the corner of my eye I remember...

What a wonderful seven years we had with both of you. Harvey will always be in our thoughts. A toast to the most cynical uncynical man we've ever met. Love Earl & Maggie

Barb, My thoughts are with you now. I believe you brought St. Augustine a wonderful legacy with your bookstore.

When I was a little girl Uncle Harvey's beard scared the bejesus out of me. As an adult I grew fond of Harvey and his signature beard. Aunt Barb, now you have an angel watching over you. XOXOXO
Love,

Harvey Wolf at Sue's birthday party in 2006 at the Riverview Club in St. Augustine, FL

Played bridge with Harvey at the South Ponte Vedra Civic Association. He and Barbara were usually the winners in those matches. When we had time to chat, he was interested in a wide variety of subjects. Obviously a very learned man who was more than willing to share his knowledge. Thanks for the memories, Sue Olsen, St Augustine, Florida
