Hascal Bruss Billingsley

I was a member of the University of Texas golf team with Bruss. I had the pleasure of talking to him for the first time in about 25 years on the Thursday before he died. We had lost contact when he left Austin. He was at work and setting up a new client.

He was a wonderful person and it was really wonderful to receive his Christmas Card.

It was a privledge to have know Bruss and his family.

I first met Bruss when I joined Peat, Marwick, Mitchell after college graduation. As a junior auditor, I learned much from him and accompanied him on various audits. When he left Peat to work for Metropolitan Savings and Loan, I joined him there as his assistant in the Accounting Department. I loved working for Bruss and respected him as a co-worker and friend.
