Hattie Howard Beard – A native and lifelong resident of Citronelle, AL., born on July 7, 1944 to the late Mattie Roberts. Hattie departed this life on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. She worked at Cit-Med for many years. Hattie was a faithful servant at Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Arvester Roberts. She leaves behind to cherish her memory three children, son, Andre Howard, Victorville, CA; two daughters, Letty Francewar and Charlene Rogers both of Seattle, WA.; five grandchildren, Tanisha Dave, Breone Roberts, Romaro Francewar, Christopher and Alexis Rogers; four great grandchildren, Jazzlyn Dave, Nevaeh Sky Dave, Yon'tira Roberts, Isabelle Francewar; step-father, Henry Roberts; three sisters, Deloris Green and Bertha Hughes both of Citronelle, AL., Mattie Young, Mobile, AL; four brothers, Raymond Howard, George Howard, and Richard Howard, both of Chicago, IL., and Danny Roberts; sister-n-law, Beverly Roberts; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Reese Funeral Home from 5 - 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Citronelle, AL., from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral hour. Rev. Joseph Laffiette, Pastor and Officiating Minister. Interment will follow in Mt. Nebo Cemetery. ARRANGEMENTS ARE ENTRUSTED TO THE CAREFUL DIRECTION OF REESE FUNEREAL HOME 925 S. BESSEMER AVE. Dear Howard/Beard Family,
I will always remember Mrs. Hattie as a cousin and mother of the church who gave me encouragement as a young girl. May she rest in peace. My prayers are with you all.
