Hattie Childs Stevens

Hattie Childs Stevens NINETY SIX -- Mrs. Hattie Childs Stevens, 102, of 105 Childs Street, widow of Howard Stevens, died on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at her home. Born in Ninety Six, she was the daughter of the late Doc Childs and the late Eva Tolden Stevens. She was a member of Enoree Zion Baptist Church, where she served as a missionary and was Mother of the Church. She was also a member of the Patterson Community Club and the Willing Workers Charity Club. She was survived by one son, Charles (Dorothy) Stevens of Ninety Six; two daughters, Mary S. (James) Dixon of Ninety Six and Frances J. Stevens of the home; a cousin of the home, Myrtle M. Childs; two grandchildren; a niece, Vivian "Bunny" Childs of Charlotte, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Services are 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Enoree Zion Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Anderson Robinson. The body will be placed in the church at 12 Noon.
