Hattie Mae White Woods, 85, of the Athens Road, Athens, died peacefully Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at residence. Born February 28, 1926 at Athens, she was the daughter of the late Noah I. White and Elsie E. Wiley White. Hattie received her education in Athens and was of the Protestant faith. Hattie loved her family, she enjoyed working in her garden, canning and working around horses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George Willard Woods, a grandson, Andrew David Woods, along with four siblings; Everett, Hubert, Leonard and Jack Dempsey White. Those left to cherish her memory, Her four children, Harold Wesley Woods & former wife, Deborah, Stanley George Woods & wife Rita, Gary Wayne Woods & wife Mary and Susan Woods Bradley & husband James all of Princeton. Grandchildren, Clayton, Richard, Steven, Jonathon, Jocelyn, George, Allison, Branton, Nicholas, and Keirsten Woods and Jessica Bradley. Great Grandchildren, Christopher Poff, Hunter Woods, Mathew Massie, Joshua & Jason Woods, Bianca Castro, Paeton, Kaitlyn & Porter Woods. Five sisters, Lura Elmore, Edna Quesenberry, Dora Coburn, Wanda Quesenberry and Mary Faye Chappell. A host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 23, 2011 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Fred Farley officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends are invited to visit with the family Friday from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
