Not sure what to say?

Hayen was an assistant coach for Baylor during the fall of 1960. I was an incoming freshman who tried out for freshman football. Hayden and I had a west Texas connection, and when it was discovered I had 2 concussions my senior year in high school and couldn't play for Baylor, Hayden put his arm around my shoulder and told me that God had other plans for me. He left later that year to go to Arkansas, but I always remembered him as being a coach who really cared, especially helping a kid...

Our heartfelt condolences to Coach Hayden Fry's family and friends. We pray that God continues to strengthen and comfort you during your time of sorrow, and may knowing that Coach Fry was so loved and respected by those whose lives he touched fill your hearts with both joy and pleasant memories.

Blessings and peace to Huleita and the Fry family! Much love. Barbara Driver

Thank you Coach Fry for all that have done for the University of Iowa football and the entire state!!

Hayden was a wonderful man, who happened to coach football, often turning boys into men. We cherished his friendship, his humor, and his life values and insights. We won't shed tears for his loss, but we will share smiles for our experiences with him. We stand taller and smile more for having known him. God Bless, with warm thoughts and prayers for Shirley and their family.

My condolences to the family. May God and your wonderful memories provide comfort and peace to the family today, tomorrow and always.

Love you, Coach...

I enjoyed attending Hawkeye football games when I lived in Iowa thanks to Hayden Fry! I moved to Texas in 1982 and came to understand his Texas wit first hand. Iowa was truly blessed the day Hayden Fry came to Iowa!

Coach Fry, you not only changed my address from MN to IA but you changed my life and so many others that I have been able to help. Rest in Peace, Life Well Lived.
Sincerely
John Alt & Family
