I just heard today about the tragic loss of Vernon. You guys were such great neighors and friends to my parents Bill and Billie Hood. I willl never forget Vernon coming up to me and expressing his concern for their safety and well being before we moved them out of the house. Dad also said he was a special man. Just learned of Norwood's passing in the UNC Carolina Alumni Review. I lived in Cobb Dorm back in 1957-1961 and knew Vernon well. Also ran into him at the Charlotte airport years later. A fine individual, and I'm sure a wonderful husband and father. Still remember his charm and smile. So sorry for your loss...

He was a fine lawyer and a good man. The legal community will miss him.

I am so sorry to note Vernon's passing. He was a lovely gentleman and a most interesting person. He shared offices for a time with Dick Cohan, and we had mutual friends in the bar. We greatly miss him.

Vernon was my attorney for years. So sorry to hear of his passing. My sympathy to the family. He will be greatly missed.
