Hazel Fielder, age 75 of Las Cruces, died at her home in Las Cruces on April 2, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born to the late R.H. and Vera Mae Garner on October 10, 1941 in Grapeland, Texas.
She is survived by her sister, Billie Jo Garner, and six children and their spouses; Lee Fielder, Xavier Fielder, Curtis Fielder, Robert Fielder, Marvin James (Corrie) Fielder, all of Las Cruces, and her only daughter Christina (Frederick) Tucker of Chesterfield, Virginia. She also leaves behind numerous loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Fielder; sister, Rosie Garner; brothers Johnny and Pat Garner; and daughter-in-law, Tina Fielder.
Hazel requested no formal services. Baca's Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last few months.
