Not sure what to say?

Hazel and Jack were neighbors of mine. Their three sons were my friends. I wish I would have known about her passing as I would have attended her Service. Ken Blanchard.

Hazel was a very good friend of my sister the late Ruth Lee Mar. They both attended the first Atkinson School which was on 10th & NW Davis St. They would talk all the time on the phone and both had very sharp minds up to the end. Ruth passed away last year in August at the age of almost 96. Though Hazel could not drive she had her son drive her to my sister's services at the St Philip's church in Ladd's addition. Gordon
My deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother. Peace and blessings to you and your family, may your sadness be replaced one day by the knowing that you will one day be reunited.

We are sorry to learn of Hazel's passing. She was a dignified and classy lady. She lived a long and full life, leaving a wonderful family behind. We have tremendous respect for her and enjoyed her company on so many occasions. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of her family. She will be greatly missed.

To Gordon and family,

I'm sorry to hear of your Mother's passing and even though I never met her it's obvious from reading about her she was a very special person. And she did a wonderful job of raising you. Please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Lee was always welcoming and humble, wise and inclusive to the school friends that her sons dragged through her front door. And I don't know if she was a "Tiger Mom" or not, but something special must have been going on in that little house on Hickory Street because she and her husband raised three distinguished sons -- one diplomat and two doctors. This was an honorable life well lived, a life lived for others. Family came first. Education was important and opened the doors of...
