Hazel was the first person we ever met at St. Matts. We were walking the parking lot to a new church experience on that cold January day and Hazel happened to be walking in at the same time. We told her we were new here and she put on that smile of hers and walked us in.

What an incredible lady. God has called her home and she will be missed. My prayers go out to the Bassett Family, Hazel's children and grandchildren. She was a terrific lady.

It was a joy and pleasure knowing Hazel and joining her in meetings at St Matthews UMC. She had a zest for life and the compassion to help others. My condolences to the entire Bassett family and to all who knew Hazel. She will be surely missed by all.
