Hazel was born on July 1, 1931 and passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016. Hazel was a resident of Jacksonville, North Carolina at the time of her passing. She was married to Owen. A memorial service will be Wednesday Dec.28 at 2pm at Jones Funeral Home chapel. She is survived by her son Joseph C. Phipps of Washington NC a sister Ruby Richardson of Chesapeake VA and four grandchildren.
Can't believe it's been 4 years it seams like yesterday. I see you sitting there everyday as I go by. You will always be in my thoughts. Glad you considered me a friend. Miss you.

To my Mother-in-law
My Best Friend, Confidant , Shopping buddy. I think we hit every second hand store from the beach to Washington. You love ceramics with pink roses and hand made afghan blankets.
We would grab somthing to eat. you love hot gos with onion and muster, chicken pastri and BLT. We would share oinon rings and fries.
You would never turn down milk shake or dessert. I miss you.
I 'll miss sitting out side and talking about the news and your younger years....
