Heather is still very much in my thoughts and is sorely missed. Whilst distance separated us we kept in close contact through the marvels of modern technology. Seeing pictures of Heather still brings a lump to my throat and I still find it difficult to accept she is no longer with us. Much love Sis wherever you are X

Heather and I first met in 1962 at teacher training College. Throughout the years we have kept in touch and our friendship has strengthened. My husband and I saw Heather both here in the UK and in Tennessee and enjoyed exploring the Smokies with her. Her lovely smile, warm and friendly personality and her keen sense of humour and fun will be fondly remembered. We also have some of her beautiful photographs which will be treasured. Heather valued her family and friends so much. She was so...

This was not unexpected, but still a gut punch. Catherine, my thoughts are so with you, and so much love. Stowe, your home, is waiting, with open arms. xo

It was a delight to know Heather for a few short months when she joined Cafe Mortal on our Zoom meetings. She had much to share with us, many questions about approaching the end of her life, and an avid interest in nature and knowledge.
Heather was a gentle soul we were honored to know. She shared some of her wonderful photos with us as a final gift. We will remember her always.
She spoke so fondly of her daughters and grandchildren. ☺
And she leaves a memoir, which surely...

Through the good times as well as the not so good, Heather was always there as a mainstay of the family. I shall miss her and our conversations when over the years we put the world to rights, Heather was not one for idle chit chat and from quite humble beginnings she has left a lasting impression upon us all and I will miss her very much.
Rest in peace my much loved sister.

I’ve known Heather many years. She worked switchboard at the college, and later we reconnected at Third Friday book club. I loved listening to her comments on the various book reports. She always had a different perceptive and always made me see things in another way. Heather always picked an interesting book for her report, so I always looked forward to her turn to report.
Having Heather in our lives enriched us all. My sympathy to her family. She was a gentle, dear person and I will...
