Heather Aron Gross 6/28/81 ~ 12/14/08 Heather was never meant to die of old age; instead she died causing international news. The inbounds avalanche at Snowbird, on December, 14th, ended her life at age 27. She was an avid Snowbird skier and would never want her death to stifle anyone's...

Not sure what to say?

Alyce and Denny,

Receiving your letter and sad news today was such a shock. Heather's picture showed a beautiful young woman and reminded me so much of you, Alyce. She looks just like I remember you from our days in Germany.

Each Christmas I have enjoyed the letters about your family and all the fun and good energy that you shared. Now I wish I saved all those letters so I could read them again. Clearly, you have been such proud parents of two wonderful girls.

Dear Denny and Alyce,

We just today heard about Heather and send to you our deepest condolences and love. We have fond memories of our girls, Kresha, Emily, and Heather, together at Marriage Encounter events. Heather had such determination and tenacity, and we see that those traits carried through into adulthood.
We send our love to you all. May Christ's faithful love and eternal promises comfort and sustain you all. You are in our prayers.

John and Brenda Payne

Dearest family, I bring prayers to our Lord daily for you...to continue to celebrate Heather's amazing life and legacy. I am Dasch's Mom and had the joy of having your precious daughter in our home. One night she came over with a photobook from Europe and shared the entire trip with me. How we laughed!

I am working on a piece of art to reflect Heather's contributions to all of us. I look forward to spring when we return from California so we can meet and share this together. We...

To Heather's family,
Curtiss & I had the great fortune to know Heather through our friend Scott. Heather, Scott, Curtiss, and I shared a fabulous powder day at Solitude on January 1, 2007 and I'll never forget the sheer joy she brought to the day for all of us and we've talked of it often since then. She was a beautiful as a person and as a skier.

Dear Denny, Alyce and Emily,
My deepest sympathy to your family and friends. I remember babysitting Heather and Emily when they were both little girls and how sweet and adorable they both were. Heather as a little girl was extremely smart, articulate and funny. Though I lost touch, I feel extremely blessed to have known such an extraordinary person as Heather. Sleep peacefully sweet girl.

Dear Alyce, Dennis and Emily.Alyce I just saw you a few weeks back when you came into Canyonview Elem. to see us and say hello. You were so happy and retirement was treating you great.I remember how thrilled you were because Heather was comlng home for the wedding of her sister.I never met Heather but if she had the same zeal for life as you Alyce I can imagine her being a treasure like you.I am so sorry for your loss .Words can never heal the hurt you and your family are going through but...

Dear Alyce, Denny and family,
I was so shocked and saddened when I heard of the tragedy that has occured to your family. I lost a husband this year, but it is nothing like losing a child....I can't begin to imagine.
I thought of the phrase "It's not the number of years in your life that count, but the life in your years." This seems so true in the life that Heather lived.
I know your faith will sustain you through these next difficult months and your many friends will be there...

Dennis, Alyce, and Emily,

I cannot begin to convey my shock and sadness, but hope that in some small way the outpouring of condolences you've received will help at this time. God bless you.

Dear Dennis, Alyce & Emily

I worked with Dennis for a short period of time and learned about his two beautiful daughters, and what a proud father he is. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. I feel privledged to have been able to share stories with Dennis and learn about your beautiful daughter and all of the things she accomplished during her short time here on earth.
