I knocked on the door and a beautiful young lady answered, I said Heather, she said Elizabeth and we began to laugh. You see we knew we were sisters but we had not met until that moment. Oh, this is so sad. Heather was a lovely person, and I'll always regret falling out of touch with her. In September of 1993, she was living in SF, and I was on a West Coast car trip, so we headed up the coast for a couple of days of lazy, aimless sightseeing. Heather was wonderful company. Joe, I'm so glad to hear you were good to her. She deserved that. Rachel, your photo of her caught that fabulous smile--so lovely, and so was she.

Rachel, Thank you for sharing this link with us. We do so appreciate seeing people as they were before becoming our patients. You did an amazing job of taking care of her. I pray you can give yourself some of the love and kindness as you adjust to her not being here. Anne
