Heidi and her husband Franz saved my life twice, when I was stricken with pneumonia as a child. They came to our home in the Maple Leaf neighborhood in Seattle, to attend to my critical situation. I remain grateful for their loving medical care throughout my childhood.

Heidi Kirschner was among the ‘best of the very best'… as a physician. Her approach to caring for her patients went well beyond anything we see today.
I met her the first time in the spring of 1962 when I was pregnant with our first child. From the beginning, both she and Dr. Franz were a very important part of our lives… as we raised three children. In time, four generations of our family found them to be very wise as counselors and compassionate caregivers.

I have fond memories of Heidi and Franz from the early 1940's. At that time Dr. Franz made 'house calls' and he came to our house when I (age 11 or 12) was very sick with a really bad cough and high
fever. He was our 'family doc.' until the 1970's and helped our family through
the final days of both my parents. In
later days Heidi was often in the office
when I brought my parents to see the Dr.

I remember Dr. Heidi with great fondness as she and Dr. Franz treated me for rheumatic fever in 1951. They subsequently were my loving physicians for the next 10 years. My sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with you all.
