Not sure what to say?

You are never forgotten my old Utica Zoo friend. Your memory still shines bright.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Wester, I've been thinking about Heidi so much lately; although it's been some years since her passing, I'm sure the sorrow lingers. I wanted you to know that I'm very grateful for Heidi's friendship while we were in school together (Notre Dame); and have very fond memories of all of you (including Bosco!). My brother, Tim worked with Heidi at the Utica Zoo also. I'm sorry I was not able to attend her funeral service. My prayers are with you and Heidi.

Mr and Mrs Wester,

I was sorry to hear of the passing of Heidi. I was in most of her classes from 1st grade until we graduated from Notre Dame in 1980. My fondist memory of Heidi was her pittails when we were in grade school, and also having such a crush on her! I also recollect her kindness and such lust for life. I will keep you and her in my thoughts.

Mr. and Mrs. Wester,

I cannot imagine the depth of your pain, but please know I share your sorrow. Heidi was a wonderful person. I always visualize her with a smile on her face. I can still see her all bundled up in her bright red snow suit, making her way up from the children's zoo in winter - her rosy cheeks matching her suit! I have always admired her good attitude and humor.

I hope that she'll save a place for me in Heaven to help her care for all of God's...

Oh, Heidi, I miss you. How could this be? It has been many years since we spoke, exchanged cards or memories. It matters not, I was blessed to have shared part of my life with you. I am sorry. I cherish the pictures of you and the elephants, your grin from ear to ear, completely in your element and living your dream! What courage to pursue your calling. While we were at the Utica Zoo together I knew you would devote your life to animals, whether they had 4 legs, 2 legs or none at all! ...

I had the pleasure of working with Heidi at Utica Zoo. she was a great worker, friend and fun to be with. I still have her mother's recipe she gave me for my wedding shower. I am still in disbelief by the news. John and i extend our sympathy, Our love , thoughts and prayers for Heidi and her family.

Marilyn and Dick,
I can't imagine what you are feeling right now. Heidi was an amazing person and we will miss her every day. You are right that she is in heaven playing and caring for all animals. My heart breaks for you. You are always in our hearts and prayers.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

Marilyn and Dick, So sorry to read about Heidi. I know she was your main thing in life. She was a year older than my twins and it has to be very hard to lose someone so young. Gary Evans
