Heinz was a wonderful colleague. I worked for Aon in Detroit and he met with us in Detroit just a few months before 9/11. I had planned to travel to NYC that summer and Heinz offered to give me a tour of the WTC. My plans changed and I didn’t get that opportunity. Everyone in Detroit who worked with Heinz thought he was an amazing young man. I found this recollection regarding Heinz in an article from a survivor: “Heinz Ackerman, last seen helping wounded in the tower lobby. “ We remember

Never, ever forgotten. I miss you dear Heinrich! It was an honour to know you. God bless your sister Andrea and little Maria.....I’m thinking about them and all who lost their lives that day. R.I.P

Heinz worked with us at Aon in Detroit the summer of 2001 and visited our office. It was a pleasure working with him and I was looking forward to visiting NYC one day and Heinz had promised me a tour of the WTC. He was such a friendly and smart young man. You will always be remembered Heinz.
