Helen Anholt

Her mother's name was 'Valney'... Helen Lucille drove an ambulance in the UK during WWII... I called her 'Aunt Lucille'; toward the end of her days she preferred 'Helen'... Gosh, how I miss her... Kevin Thomas Hodges

We lived on Glendale when Mr. and Mrs. Anholt did. He always brought me ice cream from the A&B and Market and Mrs. Anholt would always come out and talk to my grandmother in the evenings. Both were such sweet people. My sympathies to your family.

What a multi-talented lady she was! And her service as a WAC during WWII should also be remembered. My deepest respect to one whose life was truly lived full-circle. Debra Carter Johnson

We used to live across the street from Helen and Bernie. They were just like family to us. My son and daughter thought of them as their grandparents. We moved away and lost touch with Helen but still often talk about the good times we shared with them.

I took care of Helen at the home a few times she was a joy to take care of.
