Not sure what to say?

Gosh, this planet could use you now. You are love.

Was thinking about dear Helen, and came across this. I worked with her @ 92nd St. Y. She was every wonderful thing that one could hope for in a human being: brilliant, beautiful, kind,,talented, with that special ability to love, and put at ease all who knew her. A Bright LIght, who made a difference. Belated condolences to her son,and family. -Cheryl Heyman

Helen's kindness, support. and pure love were bestowed to me in abundance. I love her.

I am so sorry to see this. Helen was so kind to me when I worked across the hall from her at the 92ND ST Y. She threw a party for me when I left. She was a beautiful, kind, lovely woman. I was thinking about her all day today so I decided to give her a call and I found this obituary. So very sad...

Helen was a complete joy to work with through S2D. I will miss her kind, loving spirit. My deepest condolences.

Helen had such a spark about her. Funny, talented, inquisitive, and a good listener who always made you feel special. She was my go-to New Yorker for advice on Broadway shows. I am so fortunate to have connected with her and hope she saves a dance for me!

I was fortunate to work for/with Helen at S2D starting in 2007. She had a big heart, was a fierce advocate, and made our small staff feel like family. I will miss her wry sense of humor and the occasional pirouette in the office (quelle dramatique!). Condolences to her family-

I had the pleasure of many "water cooler" moments of wisdom from Helen while sharing office space with Store to Door. She taught me useful Yiddish phrases and always made me feel better about the world. Her passion for her community, especially elders, was inspirational. She will be greatly missed.

Another great Portland hero has left us! Helen was a mensch and role model. I had the pleasure of working with her when she was at STD and I was at Friendly House.
