Mrs. Bond ...a part of every kid on Silver Road exemplified the old saying that it takes a village to raise a child. We took pause with the news of her passing to reminisce just how special she was . We had some great mothers living in our neighborhood as we were growing up. You could go to any of these women and they would help you with your problems, even though you were not their child. Helen was one of the greatest of these mothers. Small, but mighty! Just being around her made me happy. Bud and "her kids" were very lucky to have her as a wife and mother.
