Mrs. Helen Louise Kyle Carlisle, 88, of New Windsor, died Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born June 27, 1923 in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roy B. and Marie Erb Griffith. Twice married, her first husband was W. Ray Kyle who died in 1965; her second husband was James C. Carlisle who died February 6, 2012. Mrs. Carlisle was a 1941 graduate of Dale High School, Johnstown. She was formerly employed at the Brethren Service Center, New Windsor, in numerous departments, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Westminster Church of the Brethren and the former New Windsor Lioness Club. She enjoyed gardening, reading, dancing, traveling and spending time with her family. Surviving are 2 daughters, Linda Ibex and husband Jeff of Westminster; Cathy Kyle Fenton and husband Paul of Ottawa, Ontario; a son, Tim Kyle and wife Vickie of Westminster; a stepdaughter, Alice Moore of Winter Park, FL; a stepson, J. Keith Carlisle and wife Nancy of Union Bridge; 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey Ibex of Laurel; Jill Ibex, Kimberly Bowen and Ryan Kyle and wife Brittany, all of Westminster; Pere Kyle of Woodland Hills, CA and Ginger Fenton of Ottawa; a step granddaughter, Ashley Carlisle of Winchester, VA; 2 great grandsons, a sister, Phyllis Jacobs of Durham, NC and devoted friend, Nancy Reppe. She was predeceased by a son, David Kyle in 2009; daughter-in-law, Margie Kyle; sisters, Ethel Brown, Doris Smith and Kay Fye and brothers, Robert and James Griffith. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the Westminster Church of the Brethren, Bond St. & Park Place, with Rev. Glenn McCrickard, church pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery, Westminster. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westminster Church of the Brethren, Bond St. & Park Place, Westminster, MD 21157
