SHELTON: Helen E. Castaldi, 96, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday evening, October 5, 2016, at Hewitt Health and Rehab in Shelton. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony P. Castaldi.
Mrs. Castaldi was born in Shelton on August 17, 1920, daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Sedlock Majoros, founding members of St. Michael's Church in Derby. A lifelong resident of Shelton, she was employed at the former Stelray Products in Shelton for many years. Helen enjoyed trips to Mohegan Sun Casino, cooking and baking, and crocheting and sewing.
She is survived by a loving son, Donald J. Castaldi and his wife Deborah of Shelton, a loving daughter, Elaine M. Parkins of Palm Bay, FL, cherished grandchildren, Christopher Castaldi and his wife Ashley of Shelton and Lisa Lee of FL, great-granddaughters, Christina and Sarah Jones of FL, great-great grandchildren, Jericho Alston, Braiden Jones, Andrew Jones, Delainna Morel and Gia Alston and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kelly Castaldi, a son in law, Frederick M. Parkins, brothers, John and Mickey Majoros and sisters, Mary Cigas and Irene Ruzinkovic.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday October 8, 2016, at 10:30 am at St. Joseph's Church in Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Visiting will take place on SATURDAY MORNING from 8:30 am until the procession leaves for church at the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
