Fernando, Birdie,Paul,Sylvia, Eloise,Anna Elizabeth and the late Linda my Heart goes out to you Guy's the last time I saw my grandfather alive was at yourfathers funeral it was a sad time for all of us .At the same time my grandfather was so happyto be around his brothers and cousins his children and many siblings the interreaction between the older Chavez's was a site to see and fun ! May the Lord be with you! Love your one and only cousin...

I am so sorry to hear of Helen Chavez passing. She and her husband are wonderful examples of humility ,dignity and determination in the face of racism. We must continue to go forward in their honor for the grace and rights of all people.

Very sad news about a very wonderful woman. She touched the lives of so many. I am the artist for the Cesar Chavez USPS postage stamp, and in Los Angeles for the dedication of the stamp, I had an opportunity to meet Helen and some of the family. She was so kind to me. Just a few minutes, but I felt she would have been inviting me over for dinner if I had been in need. Something I will always remember. Please let her family know how many people are thinking of them at this time.
