Helen Connolly was my best friends mother, and growing up in Scotia, I spent a lot of time at her kitchen table. She made the best tuna sandwiches! And she was the most wonderful librarian. She knew all my favorite authors and would hold their new releases for me. And she would help me find other authors I might like. She was my hero who encouraged my passion for reading, which to this day remains my favorite way to spend time. I can only imagine the generations of kids she did the same...
