Mrs. D'Angelo was my third grade teacher in 1983 at Pond Hill. She was a sweet woman and I have fond memories of her. I mostly remember her encouraging all of her students to learn poetry. It's one of my favorite memories as an elementary student. Please accept my condolences.

On behalf of the McDowell family and also our First Church of Christ in Wethersfield, Connecticut family, I want to extend our heartfelt condolences to Helen's family members. We shall greatly miss this wonderful and faith-filled woman. It was a true privilege and inspiration to know her. May her memory be eternal. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Yours friends in Christ,

Pastor Michael and Cindy McDowell & family

To Sandi, Diana and Dale and all the beautiful grandchildren that Helen was so proud of,
We were all blessed by her smile and energy. I thank her for helping my son go on two missions trips with her blessing of touching lives for God. We all have no doubt where she is right now and knowing that her work here was done and she's probably busy up there too! Our prayers are with you all, it's been a tough year for you. I wish my mom and I could've seen her before she went to heaven,...

Aunt Helen,
You have been a great inspiration to all of us. When you entered a room your presence commanded a smile from everyone! I have you to thank for my special interest in reading many books, especially those of our Italian Culture, this motivation I will carry on as your legacy to my children as well. We will miss you always . . .

I have known Helen my entire life. She was friends with my great aunt and uncle Mary and Paul Saba and their son John. I remember her and her sisters from when I was a little girl at mother daughter banquets my aunt used to bring me to at their church. It was clear she always loved her family first and foremost. Later it was my great honor and privilege to teach 3rd grade with Helen at Pond Hill. She was a great mentor and friend. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren and loved...
