Not sure what to say?

Dear Bob, Gary, and Betty Lou,

Last week, my sister Vicki sent the notice from the TIMES of your mom's passing. I was really sorry to hear the news. I kept up with her and your dad with an annual Christmas note through the nineties, but hadn't heard from them for a long time. She was such a nice woman. I have good memories of her from the time you lived on Ninth and Jim and I were best friends. She was always kind, friendly, welcoming to me. I remember a time when she painted (or your...

I have not seen Helen for many years, yet as soon as I saw the photo in the paper I absolutely knew who it was. Her hair may have changed color, but her smile is exactly the same as is the way she has her hand up. I knew her when she lived on 83rd & 9th NW and was often in her home. She let me earn a little money by doing some ironing for her. I used to shoot hoops with her oldest son James as Bill and Helen had a basketball hoop attached to their garage door. My brother Roger and her...

Where do you start with this lovely lady?
I am so honored to have known this woman and to have been fortunate enough to know her my entire life and call her aunty. I will miss her, her smile and laugh, her hugs, everything. She was always so genuine and excited to be talking to you, no matter what. I can still hear her voice crystal clear, so joyful. It's hard to know that I will never see her again, we all are feeling that I'm sure.. I will miss her cute quirks, Stephen Colbert lost his...

I will always remember the sparkle in her eye the moment she would see me and it would always remain until I left no matter how long the visit. Aunty Helen had that special quality of making you feel the most important person in the room. She would always remind me that "She" was the one to give me my first bath and it was always with much pride. It was something I don't recall her mentioning to me until ten or so years ago. She waited until she knew it was the proper time. From then on she...

We were so blessed to have had Auntie Helen for as long as we did, and it comforts me to know that there are so many that waited a long time to greet her on this phase of her journey. Auntie Helen has always held a special place in my heart. I have some very fond memories, from her famous Mac and Cheese lunches, Halloween's as a child and brunches at Clair's in Lake City. Her love of pink and green, stickers and ladybugs. I LOVE YOU AUNTIE HELEN, Give Grandma, Uncle Bill, Nana and all a...

There are No words to express the loss of Aunty-except Heaven is now more complete. We were so Lucky to have had her for our part of her 97& 1/2 years. Great love of life ,greater love of Family and while we will all miss her we were so blessed with her presence as long as we had her . Nana has both of her girls and they will be watching and caring for all of us as they always have. So many memories in my heart of my Family (Big Family). Bob, Gary, & Betty Thanks for sharing her Love as she...
